We’re part of this kindergarten since 2017 and by now our 3rd child is currently enrolled there! We absolutely love this school. The teachers and director are doing such wonderful work and we feel very happy to be part of the community. During this special times right now I even appreciate it more that my child is in a safe and loved environment.

Boulder Waldorf Preschool and Kindergarten is the BEST! Our family wasn't familiar with Waldorf until our daughter started this past fall during the COVID outbreak. The teachers are supportive, caring, good natured individuals who use nature and simplicity to inspire the children. We haven't seen much of the inside classrooms but the glimpses we have seen show a calm classroom with beautiful, natural materials and colors. This has been an exceptionally challenging time with the global pandemic but the school administration has been clear with its directions and very informative when action needs to be taken. I can't recommend this school and the staff enough...our daughter is growing into a confident little person!
Our oldest child began attending BWK at the beginning of 2018, and her younger sister joined the toddler class the following summer. Both have had a wonderful experience at this beautifully rustic school, and we are grateful for the creative and safe space held lovingly by all the teachers that we have known. The current pandemic has surely put a lot of stress on the owner, director, and everyone working at the school, but it is evident to our family that they are doing their very best to continue to make BWK a magical place.
BWK has been an incredibly solid foundation for our children's early childhood experience. The teachers are unbelievable and what they provide for our children in terms of care and nurturing is unparalleled. Our family has spent almost 8 years there and all of them have been amazing.
This was my first experience with a Waldorf school and I have to say that despite initially positive impressions, it was ultimately very disappointing. The physical environment is very nice, but unfortunately the staff and especially the management, do not seem to have the capability or interest in working through interpersonal issues that arise among the children. Instead they prefer to take a CYA approach of excluding (including suspending) children whose behavior they deem inappropriate. We experienced this first-hand and heard from other parents whose children were subjected to same treatment in response to their children's language at school. Upon researching the history and philosophy of Waldorf it seems that they have a lot of work to do to adopt modern research based early education practices into their curriculum and distance themselves from some of the the founder's antiquated and controversial philosophies.
