Course was in pretty good shape considering the rain the two days before. It was cart path only. New carts with cushy seats, GPS and can hook up phone with speakers on cart. Cart paths need work!

As a local wedding videographer in this community, I have filmed weddings at many different venues. Bowling Green Country Club has many great features for both weddings and special events! The golf club alone is SCENIC, with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. There are both indoor and outdoor ceremony options which is super helpful in meeting the needs of couples who want to marry in winter months, or in the unfortunate event of inclement weather. Phillishia and her staff were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the ENTIRE day, making my experience at Bowling Green smooth and enjoyable. The food was VERY GOOD and helped to give me the boost I needed to finish out the day. If you are in need of a wedding venue in the Front Royal or Shenandoah Valley area, I highly recommend Bowling Green Country Club. They took great care of me, and I know they will do the same for you! I'm looking forward to working here again! )

This place is a gem! Great course conditions, especially the greens. You can't beat their Eagle Club Membership also. The overall value can't be beat among competing public golf courses in the NOVA area. The North Course is a must play and the shorter South Course is a fun track. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and practice social distancing very well. Amazing golf carts too! Food and beverage never disappoints and beer prices are reasonable. They do a great job with outings and weddings. I only wish it was closer to home.

Have you ever reached into your pant pockets and found a crinkled 20?! That's how you feel when you come to this golf course! I found this little gem when I was playing that \dog track\ (Shenandoah Valley) across the street and boy am I lucky that this course is open to the public! The fairways are wide enough and the greens are cut and rolled so that the golf ball rolls true 16 out of 18 times (nobody's perfect)! I think the most i ever paid was 50 on the weekend (that's with a cart) and to my surprise, they have a VERY good chef that makes more than just hotdogs and hamburgers! If you haven't tried this golf course, you are missing out on one of the best out west (in virginia)!

Both the north and south course have very nice golf carts with charging ports, bluetooth, and course gps installed. For the price and condition of the fairway/greens, can't beat it. I've made the 45 minute drive here several times for this reason.
