We visited over the holiday weekend and I feel compelled to share our wonderful experience. The gentleman helping us was warm and great with our two little boys. They had never mined for gems and had so much fun discovering the different types of stones that were in their buckets. There were LOTS of great gems and it was a fabulous learning moment too! The shop has a huge and beautiful array of things you can purchase including fossils and jewelry! I highly recommend visiting and taking part in the experience. We’ll definitely be back!

The crystal mountain gem mine is a cool place to check out in Brevard, NC. They're located in downtown so easy to get to via car or on foot. The first thing we noticed was how clean the shop was! The second thing we noticed were all of the cool gems, in particular the large geodes that they had for sale that you could crack open. The store is set up so that you can literally feel like you're mining for gems. Be sure to check their website as they currently (Summer 2020) have coupons listed where you can get buckets of rocks at a discount. Not into breaking open rocks or looking for gems? Head past the cool jewelry and gifts and go to the back of the store. There are all kinds of cool things to see back there. Oh and the best part? There's almost something for every budget in the store!

Please like/comment if you find this review useful! Visited the Gem Mine 4th of July weekend and we had a blast. In our group was 3, 7, 9, 14, and adults! We all enjoyed the experience. Prices are reasonable and the customer service was phenomenal! There was a ton of things to look at and unique souvenirs to purchase of all varies prices. I think they are needing to expand their store to allot miners a little more room without being so close to the merchandise, especially for young miner and parent interaction. You can share your bucket!

This is such a fun Saturday afternoon adventure! The staff is knowledgeable about the gemstones and truly seem to love what they do! The buckets are full of great stones, and the shop has lots of other fun stuff.

This was a fun spur of the moment day trip from upstate SC. Our kids enjoyed finding gems! The associate in the store was Holden the day we went. He was great with kids and very knowledgeable of the different gems and stones! I believe the highlight for my kids was when he opened their geode! That was a great surprise.
