We went for the Aluminum Christmas Tree exhibit, but for me the best part was the fundraiser \Plant Sale\ outside with a great collection of dead plants!

A real neat place to stop. Cool history on the area, and very nice staff. It was really interesting to see the timeline exhibit they had at the time of our visit. Seeing the progression of the area and how our world has evolved so quickly. Worth a stop and doesn't take very long unless you want to read everything they have. Just a fun attraction to stop by if you are in the area.

This is a modest but lovingly set up museum featuring artifacts exhibiting the history of Transylvania County. At our visit, the exhibit on display pertained to quilting, weaving and needlework crafts throughout the decades of the county's existence--very interesting. A visit here should not take more than an hour but is worthwhile.
