This is a nice National Monument. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. I drove into here from the National Monument’s east side and stopped by the park’s entrance sign for a picture. I went here in late November, so there was a lot of snow in the park. I walked up to the sign, and the snow went up a couple inches past my ankles. Once I took my picture next to the sign, I got back in my car and drove towards the park’s visitor center. I drove here on UT-141 and was going to turn south onto UT-148 to get to the visitor center. However, that road was closed south of the intersection. Apparently it closes for the entire winter every winter, but I didn’t know that. Because the ride was closed, I parked in front of the gate blocking the road and walked past it. I walked along the road, which was surrounded by many trees and had lots of snow on it. I walked down towards the visitor center, but I didn’t go all the way there because it was closed. I walked off the road and down the hill a bit to the large amphitheater filled with rocks. I didn’t go all the way down because the hill was very steep. After I walked down a bit, I walked back up the hill and the road to my car. I got in my car and drove north on UT-148 to I-15. On the way, I saw that there was a scenic viewpoint of the amphitheater. I stopped there and went to the viewpoint, which was as very scenic. The amphitheater is an amphitheater shaped area with lots of hoodoos, just like in Bryce Canyon National Park. After I looked at the amphitheater for a while, which was very pretty, I got back in my car and left the park, satisfied with my experience. I gave this National Monument five stars because it has great scenery.

This national monument is truly a very friendly place to visit, the hikes are not too difficult to get some great views. I would make sure that I would look at the weather before going, because the road there can be windy. Overall, I got some amazing photos here and it was not that far away from St george, utah. If you have not seen this monument yet, you need to go!

Relatively small park, with some nice picnic areas, and excellent hikes. I recommend the Spectra Point trail (2 mi round-trip). At the end you’ll find a grove of ancient Bristlecone pines—the oldest living organisms on the planet. Keep the elevation in mind (\u003e10K feet). We stopped by on our way from Bryce to SLC, and felt satisfied with a 3 hour stay.

Came here in the dead of winter. It was insanely windy! The closer I got to the view, the more wind pushed back at me. It got to the level where I could fully lean into it and not fall down. I never got to see the full view. Don't come in the winter. Or maybe do, it was a fun time regardless.

I am so in love with this place. When it's over 100 degrees in Vegas and you need some cooler air, this place is just over 3 hours away and on 7/4/2016 it was only 65 degrees. Absolute perfection. The breeze was blowing and life was truly beautiful. This is a fairly small park and that's what I enjoyed most about it. Not too many people around, especially on a national holiday. There are several trails and we decided to go to the pond and walk through the fields of flowers which is just over 2 miles round trip. This trail is an absolute must as you walk along the canyon. Stunning views in all directions. The pond is so beautiful and surrounded by trees and so many different types of flowers. All the aromas in the air consume you. I will be back & I'm definitely bringing my mom as she appreciates this type of stuff as much as I do. On a side note, this park is located right next to Brian Head and that's another little town that shouldn't be missed. Come see both places for a cooler weekend in the summer.
