I celebrated my birthday this evening in this great place. happy to tell that we had a superb evening and the place was clearly the reason for that successful gathering. The team helped in a graceful way, the cooking was appetizing and my friends were very thrilled. We shall definitely visit again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

This is a local black family owned restaurant serving Cape Verdean and Angolian authentic cuisine in the City of Brockton. I was introduced to the cuisine by a native and i thoroughly enjoyed it and have gone back several times since. The meals burst with flavor and is fresh. It is NOT the pre-frozen stuff you get at other restaurants. These meals are prepared to order, so grab a beverage and relax. It will be well worth the wait. The service is great. Jason is very knowledgeable about the various traditional offerings. There are seafood offerings such as octopus, salmon, cod, shrimp, and conch. The traditional grilled chicken is a must try. The octopus cooked with olive oil is divine. But could be cooked in butter if you have an allergy to olive oil. They both ways were delicious. The meals are cooked mostly using olive oil and palm oil. There was even an opportunity to try a Mozambique sauce with certain meals. The 'traditional-traditional' meals do take a bit of time to prepare. It was recommend to make reservations for these selections. There is a great selection of traditional appetizers, beverages, and desserts. There is currently a sign in the takeout area that says \50% of takeout wine.\ The menu prices are competitive.

I very much enjoy their food and service, excellent area right next to my home. The staff members are always super nice. Highly recommended.

Food is very good! My only complaint is that you have to wait longer for your takeout than projected by about 15 min. but once I am eating, I forget the wait.

If you are looking for tasty CV food that is legit, then please keep it moving to Dorchester and see Cesaria's because Luanda's isn't it. We went there on a whim, since we were close by in Brockton. We were seated before other patrons, but for some reason patrons that showed quite a while after us, were served well before us. After an hour and a half of waiting for our main course, our food arrived flat on taste and boring in flavor. The wings tasted like they were previously frozen, the steak and chicken were dry, and the fish had no seasoning. For a healthy kick in the pants on our way out the door we were given this bill as dessert. For the quality of food served in-conjunction with bad service, the bill was almost laughable. Not to mention the menu didn't even have the prices listed. After speaking with a staff member we were given a modest discount as compensation for our inconvenience and 2 hours of time wasted. (20% waived) I don't expect any restaurant to prepare food like my grandmother, however I do expect my food to be delivered quicker than 1.5 hours of being seated, as well as quality matching price point. Please take a look at the photo and explain to me how that steak is 28? That's not even a rib-eye. You'll never see me there again.
