I dropped off several garments to be repaired. Elena was supposed to hem and take in two pairs of dress pants. The hems were actually the glue stuff and the pants were still too big for me to wear. I brought a dress for her to hem and the hem fell out during the first hour of me wearing it. I brought her two dresses and asked for her to replace the zippers - they were both the same style by the same designer with exposed gold zippers. She put an exposed silver zipper on one dress that had a bunch of gold zippers on it. I argued with her and convinced her to change the hardware on the dress she put the silver zipper on. She ended up putting on a brass zipper - the back of the dress doesn’t match and its comical she would call herself a professional. The other dress, she took it upon herself and changed the style and put on an invisible zipper that’s a cheesy yellow and doesn’t match the dress. This style changed caused the dress to be an inch tighter. She refused to take the dress out an inch and she refused to change the zipper. The dress now looks cheap and I’m too embarrassed to wear it. She also said she threw out the hardware for the zippers for these dresses so when I take it to a real tailor I won’t even be able match the rest of the hardware. I’m currently looking for zippers to take to a real tailor to repair her mistake and I had to give to Goodwill the pants because they were slim In the waiste, huge in the thighs, slim in the knees and bell bottomed, and I just don’t know how that can be fixed. I’m including a picture of the dresses with the zipper issues. Needless to say, i will never be going to this ill-skilled and extremely sloppy tailor.
