I worked for WEAP for a few years and was never happy with how they treated staff as disposable. With covid, we were told to call in if we showed any symptoms, and so I did. Then the family said I didn't seem committed to their kid. WEAP \separated\ me from the company becuase I asked for a week after that to regroup myself and my family with school starting. WEAP has had the wrong mailing address for me for 2 years and the wrong ssn on my pay stubs, and when I asked to have it corrected, payroll ignored me. The company doesn't care about its staff, so no wonder the turnover is high. Being \separated\ was the best thing for my mental health. I don't know how anyone can be happy with this company.

dont provide necessary support when things go wrong...try to talk you out of your feelings or talk down how you feel...didnt provide other options for lists for therapy...hire all college students most with 0 experience...lots of call ins then expect you to change your schedule to allow them to make up their hours they called in for weekly. crazy! had a technician taking a weeks vacay monthly. the students that they hire most leave for 4 to 6 weeks during winter break to return to home state. lots of technicians incorporating tablets into therapy time or sitting on the phone...didnt provide a handbook or policy. meeting with bcba was every 60 days not enough contact/support to diffuse situations. had plenty incidents as a single parent to two autistic kids and no one came out to offer support or say what we could try differently in that moment. i would definitely go with a smaller company that can offer more support esp with being able to have contact anytime of day..bigger corporations take on too many cases and cant properly attend to them all. 2 months is mot enough contact. things change too often weekly/daily.

I’ve only like one of my daughters techs. The others were just there for a job. One would just sit on her phone the whole session. Then a different tech didn’t really want to be there. The seniors I had were great! Same with the staff at the facility!!! But I think they’re under staffed so they’ll hire any college student. I moved away and my daughter go to a different ABA therapy company. This company she goes to now is 1,000 times better!!!!!!! They don’t command your child around like a dog.

I have been with WEAP for 4 years. there have always been staffing issues, which I know to be true across all agencies. the consistent staff memebers have been absolutely wonderful to my family and have helped us all in so many ways. thank you
