A "safe" attempt at Ukrainian food. Pelmeni and vareniki as well as their potatoes with mushrooms are quite good. The rest of the dishes are just so-so.

I am so sad! This was one of my favorite places in Brighton beach. The shav was wonderful, the dumplings juicy, light and perfect. The short ribs....the Ukrainian sausage........ What happened? Ie been 2 times in the last year and both times the older lady sat in the dark and told us they are closed. Vacation maybe? Either way I guess I'm saying goodbye to my shav.
Decent representative food, but by no way authentic
This location has been closed for years, sadly. Their other location on Sheepshead Bay Rd. is inferior, but still worth a visit.
Excellent and authentic Ukranian perogies. Try the borsch, the Vareniki Moscow and the Chicken Stroganoff. Don’t forget to order a glass of Compote.
