Good for kids
One of the greenest forests I've been to. I took a detour here on my road trip to take a break from driving and hiked on a short trail. Being able to hear nothing but the wind blowing through the tall mature trees was, to say the least, hypnotizing. That being said, my favorite part of this park was being able to drive through it, top down with the sweet sounds of the engine roaring.

This is a great trail. It is not usually crowded. After the first few miles I was able to let my dog off it's leash and she loved running about. The trail is not very difficult to navigate with hardly any hills to speak off. The ground is easy on the feet and legs because there usually is a soft covering of pine needles to cushion your steps. Nice easy enjoyable way to spend an afternoon in the outdoors
Very nice shady peaceful area with many trails for hiking rivers for fishing and even a few discreet places for adults to have time alone
