FM Shakhzod is a great coach, he walks you through exercises appropriate to your level and carefully explains what options work best and why. I've been working remotely and he's been very accommodating with my schedule. He is passionate about chess, so finding the right move is always exciting. His main focus seems to be, either directly or indirectly, in improving your vision (imaging multiple moves ahead and calculating options) which I'm convinced is every chess players greatest weapon.

My son has been working with FM Shakhzod for over a period of time now, and already his chess playing skills have greatly improved. Most notably, his strategic thinking skills and increased focus has carried over to other aspects of his life, in academics, athletics, and in acting. While his coach is strict in terms of keeping my son focused during the session, his friendly teaching style makes the class fun and engaging for my son.
FM Shakhzod has a fantastically enlightening training program. It's helped me in visualization, calculations, and finding the best lines. I would highly suggest his coaching to anyone who wants to get better.
I took lessons from FM Shakhzod for about a month. He was kind enough to offer a discount for the lessons and was very flexible and willing to work around my schedule. He is a phenomenal chess player and provides very concrete lessons to improve your chess, as well as reinforce core concepts throughout. I’m not a strong player, but he was patient and helped guide me through the solutions to the problems. He requested that I retroactively pay the full hourly rate after I stopped taking lessons, so do make sure you’re willing to commit to longer than a month before signing up. Overall, I highly recommend FM Shakhzod if you're looking to improve your game!
Chess is fun! Playing other people, predicting opponents moves and finding tricky tactics if incredible fun. But some time along the way you get stuck on the ladder and no matter what you try nothing seems to work. Chess becomes less fun and more of a chore. Like it or not you hit the wall. You could power through, and there's a good possibility you're going progress on your own, but effort and commitment will sack enjoyment out of playing. If you feel stuck or don't know how to progress, I recommend FM Shakhzod. He is a phenomenal chess player and a kind and patient person. He will analyze and create a plan that works for you, that points out the mistakes that make your games go wrong and maintaining the things that keep it fun. I believe that anyone that will call him coach will improve and get closer towards achieving his desired level. Excellent coach, Highly Recommended!
FM Shakhzod is very experienced in teaching chess to children, getting them to fall in love with chess and let the children have a solid foundation of chess. the children often met to play chess together, even during the pandemic, they still met for a chess playdate online. Thanks to him, he can let the children enjoy playing chess.
I would strongly recommend this to anyone trying to improve their chess. I have been taking lessons with Coach Shakhzod and have seen a lot of improvement in my chess in a relatively short amount of time. The lessons he gives are well structured and interesting. It is nice to see how he comes into the lesson with a plan, and there is always something new for me to learn. Again, taking lessons with Coach Shakhzod was the best decision I made to improve my chess.
Chess coaching has allowed me to fine tune my game and gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the game of Chess. FM Shakhzod works with me every lesson to make sure I understand each point we go over. He will discuss the basic concepts of winning in Chess and then show you how to attack and defend so that once he gives you different positions, you can solve them on your own. He will also do game evaluation with you and breakdown key moments in which you won or lost the game so that you know how to improve for the future. I highly recommend Diamond Chess as my rating has only increased since I started (100 elo for right now, but that is only after less than a month of training)and I am sure it will only continue to increase with more guidance from FM Skakhzod.
