FFLO delivered so much more than I expected. My daughter's French and English thrived under their tutelage...but so did her math comprehension, logic/problem solving, and general peer interaction. Magda, Sonia, and Celia are wonderful and I am so grateful for their dedication the past year. I recommend FFLO without hesitation!

FFLO Petite Ecole is what every parent should look for when considering their child's first school experience. Magda and all of her teachers are exceptional, caring and dedicated. My daughter understands and is able to speak French after a year in class and is excited to go to school each and every day. It's also the best bang for your buck in the neighborhood.

FFLO is not just a school, but a family. Every detail of the school is meticulously cultivated to provide the best possible experience for the children. Between my two kids, I’ve gotten to know a number of schools (both public and private) in the neighborhood and I can offer, definitively, that there is not a school that matches FFLO anywhere in Williamsburg/Greenpoint, and possibly Brooklyn. I was always impressed by how well the teachers knew my children, at times even better than I knew them myself. On one occasion, knowing that I was having trouble getting my son down for bed, one teacher suggested I play lullabies for him, because that’s the trick they had figured out with him at school. On another occasion, during a parent teacher conference, the teacher suggested I pack more vegetables for my son in his lunch. She assured me that he would eat them if I did. I was skeptical but followed her suggestion. The next day, I unpacked his lunchbox at the end of the day, shocked that the broccoli had all been eaten! This anecdote highlights a critical point about the school – they care for the whole child, beyond just their education. The teachers pour their heart into the children's’ overall well- being, from shaping their minds and bodies, to caring for their emotional health. The intellectual exposure of the students is also outstanding. My son uses French vocabulary that I don’t know, recites his alphabet in multiple languages and has a remarkably strong work ethic for someone so young. I credit FFLO for all of that. Dropping off my son every morning, I felt he was in a community that really loved, nurtured and cared for him. I would even dare to say – I envied him! I am so sad that his time at FFLO has come to an end. In spite of that, I consider us very lucky that we were able to offer our children such a warm, nurturing school to kick start their education.

FFLO Petite Ecole has laid an exceptional foundation for my son's bilingual education. In addition to teaching the skills needed for kindergarten (and then some), there is plenty of time for playing and hands-on activities - all in French. There is a lot of learning happening in that little room! The well-being of the students is clearly their first priority, and my son is so happy to be there. FFLOPE also runs an excellent, action-packed summer camp!
