As a thrift store, they have a small selection of clothes. Fun to shop though. Great books and housewares.

No desire to help people - they only care about process - much better to drop off items outside door for those in need to be able to grab rather than attempted to make a donation. Sad operation unfortunately.

Was passing by and popped in and was pleasantly surprised. It was busy in a Sunday afternoon so maybe come during the weekday if you want more leisurely shopping. Stuff is very reasonably priced and you can find gems

I'm a big fan of Housing Works and stop by the Park Slope location once a week to see what new items they've acquired. There are several locations in the city. It's a good spot for seeking out used books. I also like to view their furniture, glassware, and auction windows. Also a good place to donate most items (they'll provide the tax deduction form). All for a good cause.
