Had a wonderful experience in a private Make & Take class where my wife and I created custom serving/cutting boards with Jenna Goodman. It was the perfect combination of instruction/guidance and giving us the ability to be creative. She was very patient, detail oriented, and encouraging. The materials were stellar, and the end result turned out great! This was a fun and rewarding experience that leaves you with a functional (and hopefully beautiful) end result.

I recently took the Intro to Woodworking class at Makeville and loved the experience! I learned so much, and came away with an adorable stool that I'm really proud of. I felt like the Intro to Woodworking course gave me a great knowledge base but plan to take more classes to get even more comfortable with the equipment before I get certified and start projects on my own. I highly recommend this studio if you're looking for woodworking classes or a space to work on independent projects.

Took private classes there with Noah and also a weekend beginner class. Studio is clean, well lit, organized, and the machines are constantly checked/maintained to ensure safety. The owner Robyn is very nice and helpful. Noah is a great teacher and a great woodworker. If you're looking for a studio to create your own projects or start a new hobby, Makeville is a great place to start.

Took a class just to get certified in the machines so I could rent studio time on my own. Unfortunate because I would have spent a lot of my time and money here otherwise. The instructor at the class specifically stated she had preset the drill press to the correct settings for our project. I obviously should have double checked on my own but trusted her. Subsequently drilled holes in all my pieces incorrectly. Once discovered, I was instructed to grab some scrap wood and redo the smaller pieces but I was out of luck on the bigger pieces. I was forced to complete my project with four not subtle holes glaringly obvious to any observer. When you charge 180 for a class with plenty of wood laying around, and it was your error for claiming correct settings, yes, I expect replacement wood. Decided not to use this as my studio because if they skimp on that, everything is called into question. Facilities are fine otherwise.

I took an intro class here. What a wonderful experience! The teachers and the students are so great. I am definitely going back!
