Nothing fancy, but fantastic good. Carnitas tacos are the bomb

No-frills authentic food in a cozy environment with great art decorating the walls. A hidden gem of Sunset Park that’s easy to overlook around the flashier restaurants around.

I order nachos, and chicken was raw, tortillas were cold, taste like old food and it had a HAIR!!!!!!!! Not satisfied at all, I'm sorry but they should make everything fresh, Seems like they kept those nachos standing there for like 3 hours and they sent them to me.

I'm about to give the cliche line... if I could give this a 0 stars I would! Whatever. Let me start out by saying Mexican food is probably my favorite! I've eaten at a lot of really fantastic places. I was in the area for a birthday party with my family and on the way home we decided to stop in for what we assumed to be a delicious Mexican dining experience. I ordered the steak nachos and a beer, my husband and children ordered the fried quesadillas. When I asked what they topped the nachos with they said cheese beans and steak (hmm? Okay.) when they brought it to me I was disgusted immediately. Everything was cold. The (I assume to be) homemade tortilla chips where super thick overly fried and drenched with oil. The \cheese\ was like movie theater nacho cheese. The beans were definitely lacking on flavors that I would assume be standard at a Mexican place. I didn't taste cilantro, green pepper or even salt for that matter!! Who should have to pour salt all over nachos to give them flavor? The one thing that made them half way edible were the jalepeno peppers which they covered them with. Ugh! Absolutely disgusting. The best part of my meal was the corona. My husband forced his steak \quesadilla\ (which resembled more of a half ass taco) down his throat and complained the whole time that the steak was rubbery. BTW since when is a quesadilla covered in lettuce, tomato and parmasan cheese? It was bizarre. My kids ( who love rice and beans) ate about two bites.. their yellow rice was full of green beans and corn... which wouldn't have been that bad if it had any flavor... but it didn't! Don't waste your money!!
