I walked into Saved today on a whim but to fulfill a small idea I’ve had for a while. Very happy I did. I left thinking I’ll be back before too long. It was a real pleasure to meet Stephanie and get this piece (on the shin) from her. The shop was also just a genuinely warm place to hang out. People treated each other well.

I’ve traveled from Michigan multiple times just to be Tattooed by Virginia(one of the owners)! She’s truly an amazing artist. This shop has amazing people working here and great energy. It’s one of my favorite tattoo shops I’ve been too. Awesome location in Brooklyn as well. I will be back.
Great Staff! I was able to work with Jess. She is a fabulously warm and inviting artist, who carries a grounded aura. So looking forward to work on larger pieces with her refreshing monochromatic style
Virginia Elwood, one of the owners, was absolutely amazing. This was my first tattoo and the design was complicated, and I've seen people with mediocre tattoos. I took my time, looked at online portfolios, and was really impressed with her work. All I can say is that the result was stunning. There was an original vintage postcard design I brought to her, and she didn't only replicate the design, her detailing improved the original design, and changed the proportions so I could have all the detail I wanted in a full calf tattoo. She also is very considerate of what you want. I suggest you leave design changes in her hands. I originally was going to go with color, but she suggested I go with mainly shading. I trusted her opinion and she was exactly right. It came out beautifully. I knew she was talented, but I didn't envision just how good the base design could look as a tattoo. As this was my first tattoo, I can't speak to people who want to know if someone has a heavy or light touch, but for me there was minimal discomfort. In fact, if worries about pain are holding you back, I almost fell asleep during my session (a little over three hours) Saved Tattoo itself was very clean, and there are no worries about best practices to prevent infection etc. Also everyone there seemed very nice. Simply put, there is not a single criticism of the whole experience. This is something you're going to live with forever. Be willing to wait for an appointment, be willing to spend the money for an exceptional artist, and you won't regret it. I can't recommend Virginia and Saved Tattoo highly enough.
Passed by the shop during a holiday and walked in. Really lucky Michelle wanted to stay a bit longer to give us our tattoo! She did an excellent job! She made us feel really comfortable and was really nice! Next trip to NY they will definitely see us again! Thnx Harry and Aaike
My friend got a big piece done here on two separate sessions. Very clean, very professional, friendly environment. They don't take shortcuts, and you will absolutely leave with something that took genuine effort and attention to detail.
Originally came to New York/Saved Tattoo because my girlfriend had an appointment with, Anderson Luna. While waiting with her, I spontaneously decided to get a tattoo if someone was available. I didn’t really think it would happen because it was such short notice, but Michelle was more than happy to do it! I went the next day, got the Fortune Cat tattooed on me and I can’t be any more happier with the result! Not just the result of the tattoo, but the experience overall! Her aura is awesome and she just seems like a very positive person in general! The whole shop had a great vibe! 1000/10 would recommend.
