My family and I came in on a Tuesday night for dinner and it was empty. I have a feeling that it might be more popular for take-out instead of dine-in. It was also right before Thanksgiving. This is my second time in life trying Burmese food, so I only have one other instance to compare it to. We started off with the Tea Leaf Salad. I remember liking it when I tried it elsewhere, but I didn't care for this one. There were too many peanuts, so it seemed more like a peanut salad. I had the mohinga (fish noodle soup). I like the flavor of it, especially the chili flakes that accompany it. But it was small, and the soup was a bit thick for my taste. My dad got the chicken curry, which was good - the chicken wasn't dry or anything. Sister had one of the noodle dishes. I can't remember which one it was, but it wasn't anything special. Mom had the shrimp curry, which was probably the best dish of the night. The shrimp was sizeable, and the flavor of the sauce was great. Not sure if I'd come back to this place, but I'm still glad I tried it. There aren't many Burmese restaurants around, so it was a nice change of pace.

Food is delicious. I always get a Sijet to go with all my meals. People are very nice here. If you can't handle any spice, I'd check with the server before ordering :)
One of the finest Burmese cuisines I've eaten. I want to say, first of all, I love the interior design of this restaurant. It's very beautiful and it truly radiates the concept of Burmesian style! Second of all, I love the tea they provided with us! The flavor was really unique and delicious, different from other standard restaurant tea. Thirdly, the food was hands down amazing. I ordered the Kyay Oh with flat noodles, and since I'm Chinese, I ate a lot of flat noodles before, but NOTHING like this. They gave me a sauce to the side to complement my noodle soup, and they both fit together so well, like two peas in a pod. It was absolutely delicious, and it made me appreciate Burmese cuisine. My friend ordered Burmese fried noodles with Pork, and it was delicious as well! The food was inexpensive, fast, and delicious. Will definitely come again!
This place is always packed. Fortunately, they take reservations. Try to Mohinga - it's really good. The curry beef was a bit too "tough" during our visit. Service was decent considering the fact that they are family owned. Very courteous staff. The chef made his rounds making sure everyone was satisfied.
Their coconut noodle soup is my absolutely favorite. Flavorful, rice, absolutely delicious. If you dip the fried onions in there, it’s heavenly. Their chicken curry, pork belly curry are also delicious and come with their homemade chili (which goes great with it but so spicy!) Highly recommend.
A Feast: Lahpetthoke (tealeafsalad), chicken lentil curry /crispy parathas and Mohinga at what is actually one New York's (3!) very few Burmese places. After chatting with the crew I have learned that this little spot is a small family restaurant, run by parents and college student daughter - started up two years ago and has been going strong ever since I am both honoured and privileged, for this place is undoubtedly the Real Deal.
Burmese cuisine and sushi together. My favorite coconut soup with noodles and herbs provides an example of the Burmese flavor profile. Try tart papaya, tomato, cabbage and noodle salads and choose from an array of tasty meat, fish and vegetable curries. Friendly atmosphere. Family owned and run. Say hello to Oscar, his wife and their daughters.
Ordered delivery here and everything was delicious. First time trying Burmese food. I got the tea leaf salad (Le Phet Thoke) and Mohinga and they had very interesting flavors but very tasty. I would order from them again.
