My wife and I had a wonderful time with my Mum and Dad. I especially like that everything is served family style. This is a great Southern style hotel and restaurant. You owe it to yourself to stop on by.

Mark and Connie, this has to be hard for you and the whole family. Just wanted to say thank you for all the great meals, great environment, and warmth and kindness you showed everyone who walked through your doors. You folks are the best and myself and my parents will miss you and your fine establishment. God bless you and your great staff.

We spent late morning into early afternoon meeting our new puppies east of Abilene. We were starving and Looking for something other than fast food we found brookville open at 3pm on Sunday. When we walked in the fried chicken smelled heavenly. Their service is a simple family style fried chicken dinner which includes your choice of drink, relish plate, slaw, biscuits, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, & fried chicken. I got pictures to start off but, famished, I forgot to get pictures of the entrees. I loved the creamy sweet & sour slaw. Eveything was fresh, hot & well prepared. Definitely recommend this gem. We will return when we're in the c area again.

Loved the historic decor and the food was absolutely delicious. Ample portions of fried chicken, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, biscuits and gravy. Also, a variety of relishes. Dessert was basic. One scoop of plain vanilla ice cream. The server said if we were celebrating an occasion, they'd put chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a cherry on top. A strawberry shortcake dessert option would have been nice or even apple pie with the ice cream. Cute gift shop, very friendly staff. Reservations recommended.

Writing through tears.....I am 71 years old and the Brookville Hotel has been a major part of all the special events of our family life. From eating out with my parents when I was five or six years old, birthday parties for family members, two family reunions, stopping for dinner traveling home after my mother's funeral and finding the blue and white china tea set of my childhood for sale in the gift shop to my wedding dinner five years ago, October 17, 2015. I remember touring the upstairs in the old location, beautiful antiques and the rooms the same as they had been in the late 1800's. The woodwork downstairs after you added the next door bank. And the food and atmosphere....we were on our best behavior OR ELSE. Thanks for the memories! The Yockers Family/ Kathy Dawson

Loved it! My family and I went there for x mas dinner. It was beautifully decorated, all of the food was delicious, excellent service checked on us often but not to often and always with a smile. Lots to look at neat nice gifts to buy. Rooms upstairs were also very interesting and pleasant to look at. Only thing missing on that day was the x mas tree. Thank u for such a calm, relaxing , pleasant yet not boring time.

Love the food very much, although we were astonished that the hostesses and many in the restaurant were not wearing masks during the pandemic. We hiked 30,000 feet above altitude in Colorado and everyone was wearing a mask around us. A little alarming to make this stop and realize we and only a handful of others were wearing masks (when not eating) as we entered and exited the restaurant. The baked cinnamon apples, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and fried chicken were our favorites!

Food quality and service was way above normal. Highly recommend this establishment. The decor is awesome. Would return if we are ever in this area again.
