Had a great time getting a discovery flight- James P is a very knowledgeable and great teacher; it was worth the money and time.

Strongly do not recommend as a part 61 student. Assigned CFIs are more interested in time building than quality instruction. Lots of new teachers building time towards ATP. Even as a part 61 student, you are still required to go through stage checks, which means that the school feels your instructor does not have the ability (nor the competence) to judge your progression nor check you out on their own. This means that eal\ instruction is gated to these mini-checkrides. My experiences with the check instructors were all positive. Unfortunately my day to day experience was less than positive as the incentives for normal CFIs are not aligned at all with students. Pros: The planes are nice, well maintained, and the staff is friendly.

The best place to learn to fly! I was able to start my flight training here a few months ago and the instructors, staff, and management have been a tremendous help with the process. Each time I come to fly, my instructor and the whole staff have a welcoming smile that makes me want to keep coming. I was initially intimidated by flight training in general but each instructor has been more then helpful in understanding this. The planes are well maintained and have reasonable rates that are affordable!

Excellent experience, our 11 year old is interested in becoming a pilot and we did a discovery flight. Flight trainer was amazing at showing the plane, talking about future career and gave him confidence in his ability to handle the plane in turbulence. Would definitely recommend!

Great service! Employees are always very helpful, kind, courteous and accommodating. All the CFIs are exceptionally knowledgeable. As a private pilot I rent exclusively from Western because I know their fleet is well maintained, well equipped and priced fairly.
