Read what you are signing very carefully. Our initial transaction was completed pleasantly and quickly, perhaps too quickly as it later turned out. The vehicle was clean and in great repair. It even had Sirius radio. The only problem was the insurance. When asked by the agent, we declined the additional insurance as we are covered by our credit card and auto insurance. We rent frequently and know the drill. After we had returned the car, we noticed a charge for insurance. I contacted Hertz who said that we had initialed accepting the insurance . In our haste to get on the road, we signed everywhere the agent told us, not reading. That was our mistake (I'm giving Hertz the benefit of the doubt that including the insurance we declined was done by accident ). Now we know to take our time and double check. Oddly, after I received Hertz's email declining to refund the insurance charge, Hertz also sent me 3 other customer service emails intended for other customers but sent to me erroneously, a privacy breach. I guess I'm not the only one who should proofread. I \deducted\ one star for that as I know I wouldn't want someone else to get my letter.

Love the ease of having a membership with a rental car company. Each time I rent the procedure is the same. The cars are top notch and never have to worry, even driving them several hundred miles away. Check out and check in are super easy and fast.

My arrival time into Brownsville Texas is 1205am and I keep calling them to try and work something out, but no answer!!! What am I supposed to do???? I'm screwed
Brownsville/SPI Hertz is the place to go for vehicle rentals. The wonderful agents, Blanca, Marcos and Danny have provided the utmost attention to our needs when it comes to renting a vehicle. We have had to travel to MD for 2 1/2 years and we have chosen Hertz for our journey.
