I live just 2 miles from the airfield and enjoyed three days of FREE shows. Those men are risking their lives to put on an incredible show for us civilians. There has been 28 pilots that have been killed since the beginning of the Blue Angels. The last one was killed last year in Tennessee (2016). I believe that the shows should be just on the ground. To be able to walk around those awesome machines and talk with the pilots. To risk the lives of our men and woman in uniform just for my entertainment is to great a risk. Stay on the ground.

I totally enjoyed every minute. My wife and I arrived around 11:00, were guided into our parking spot without delay and were through the gate in minutes. We met and spoke with many people who were friendly and informative. Yes the cost (45.00 for priority seating) was kind of high but hey, it's not 1960 anymore. Everything cost more than it used to. I get sticker shock every time I drive through McDonald's. And I think the show would have been just as good from general admission where you could stand up and move around. The show was great! I loved watching the WW2 Mustang fly by with the Angle. I can't wait for next year.

I thought the Air show was Fabulous. However, I was disappointed in my experience on the ground. I paid 125.00 a ticket in order to have great seats and all the food I could eat. I will say that I did have all the food I could eat, However, When a person pays 125.00 he/she expects more than hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and pulled pork. I would have expected more than that. The soda was slightly cold, I do understand it was hard to keep it cool, but it should have ALL been chilled in advance. Not as the tub was emptying. As for the seating, (the seating I was promised with my 125.00) Good luck getting a chair to sit in if you got there at 12:00 like I did. I drove from Connecticut and with traffic, the trip took me a little over 5hrs. My friend and I almost had to stand while we ate. Luckily, someone moved and we were able to find a chair at a table. While I was standing (because I could not find a chair) during the show, an older gentleman (who was fortunate enough to find a chair) yelled at me because I was in his way. Like I said, the show itself was great, but whoever hosted my section did a poor job at making sure everyone was comfortable and making sure we had a menu worth the 125.00. Great Job Blue Angels. Thanks for the poor performance on the ground, state of Main.

These shows have gone WAY down hill since they went private. These used to be a great recruiting tool for the military, FREE. We used to go every year without fail. We used to be able to drive right onto the base, find a great place to park the truck, bring our lawn chairs and park ourselves on our chairs in the back of the truck with our fully packed cooler. Was a GREAT time. Now ... just a huge money maker for somebody, poorly run, poorly laid out. Too bad. I love to watch them fly, but I have a bad taste now after the last experience. Don't know that I'll go again.

compared to years when military ran it, price REALLY high, food poor choices, drinks very high price after paying 40 to get in if paying at door, fewer aircraft to look at up close, Blue Angels \Fat Albert\ was grounded. Blue Angles flight patterns were pretty awesome though. They do rock.
