It's a wonderful place! There is a clearing on Oakgrove drive on public land (if you stay on the road) where you can get a wonderful view of the gatehouse. The driveway has a large gate that you cannot get around. The lady that owns it is always in the yard and will kick you out if you try to get on the island. This is understandable though because it is private property. I know the owners and it is consistently used by the them in efforts to restore the Castle.
My family was friend with the older ladies that lived there. My mom and her siblings used to visit and play there as kids. We went there a lot when we were young. I thought the coolest part was the hidden door that went to the play room!
Couldn't get to the place. Seems like its private property, not a spot for tourists.
Amazing place I truly hope that the society can somehow preserve it
