Valentine’s 2021 gift experience A few months my husband and I found and walked into this store. They have a good variety of vintage items to sell. I was interested in some vintage girl advertising ad notepads and we brought them up to the front counter. The clerk was not sure of their selling price and said she would text the owner for a price. We were okay it and waited. After a little while, we told the clerk that we lived nearby by and would come back another day. She insisted and said the owner should be responding soon. After a while waiting, she described the item to the owner and the price quoted was 20 for EACH notepad. That seemed outrageous overpriced. We expected the price to be between 6 to 8 at the most for each. We decided not to purchase any of them. My sweet husband for Valentine’s Day 2021 bought me roses , chocolates , and a few gifts to open. One of the items were 2 of the vintage girl advertising ad notepads. He remembered how I really liked them and; even though, they were expensive, he decided to surprise them for me on 2/13/21. Very sweet! I found out that he was CHARGED 25 for EACH of them instead of the 20 that we had been previously quoted!!! He purchased 2 so He paid 50 plus tax 55.13 for 2 “Pinup booklets.” He offered them 40 for both and was told that the owner would NOT “Wheel and deal”, so he paid the asking price! He felt robbed. We checked today and they are selling on Etsy and Ebay for 8 and 9!!! We, as consumers, have choices and it is up to us to be a returning customer or not. I thought we share our experience with you. Are these pandemic prices while we are trying to continue supporting small businesses?

One of the very best vintage stores in the Los Angeles area. Think of it as a museum of fashion where you can buy the exhibits. As soon as you walk in the door, you can see the quality everywhere, including the building itself. A former showroom for fancy architectural molding and wood floors, the space is a wonderland of crown moldings, painting ceilings and chandeliers. It looks like a set designer's idea of a palatial boutique from the past that's as spectacular as its contents. But, the clothes and accessories are also spectacular. If you like vintage, this is truly about as good as it gets. These were high-end clothes (not all designer or couture, but beautiful design and construction). The condition of the items are so good they all tend to look like new! If I hadn't been shopping with a mission for back to school clothes, I could easily have spent hours there--I will go back and do just that. A surprising and delightful place, run by very nice people.

Went here for the first time with my husband about a week ago, and the fact that we are discussing it still says a bit about our experience. The only thing that was said to us by the employees when we entered was to sanitize our hands, which is absolutely fine and we readily did, but that was the extent of their welcome. For the little over an hour that we were there, that was the only time they reached out to us. When asked a question, it would be answered, but the experience never felt personable. The only personable “employee” was the precious cat, who graciously let me pet her. While there are a lot of clothes, the variety as for eras felt limited; lots of items if you’re looking for 1960s-90s. Many of the items seemed to be tossed wherever, and broken hangers on the floor.I was quite surprised when I lifted a hat that had been sitting face-down on top of a spinning hanky display to see it had beautiful decorative flowers being crushed into the display. I took it to the front to be purchased, but it took a moment for one of the three employees standing there to acknowledge that I was there. While the cat was adorable and the one hat is stunning, sadly the lack of customer service and variety makes this place a store I would pass on.

First time, but it won't be the last! The clothes are great- divided by era- but it's the glass bottles, the hats, the bags... i got a lacquered wood purse that's so unique and so beautiful i was stunned! And the ladies there were so cool to talk to, and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

I really enjoy coming to this store. A must visit if you're in the area, even if it's only to cuddle with the softest adorable little kitty they have.
