I just recieved info from the emergency water tech in Pender County saying that there are alot of people recieving water cut off notices today.... His words (\The whole county has cut off notices today\) and they are charging 65.00 plus 10% late fee for cutting it off. I just had mine cut off this morning at 8 am... and they told me the reason why... was because they started the paper work after 5 yesterday. For two bills... only one was actually one month late...jan was 34.00...february... not even over yet... was 44.00..... and i had to pay 151.00 .... and am still without water and a diabetic. I consider this HORRIBLE and gouging already suffering people during a pandemic. I've written the governor and newspaper.

Avoid this company at all costs!!! They shut off our water the beginning of November without any notice whatsoever. I thought that there was an outage in the area, they claimed they put a tag on the door which was a blatant lie. They never sent out October's bill or it got lost in mail, so we sent out payment for both months as soon as we received Nov bill. The company is complete chaos, and it needs to be completely overhauled. They are supposed to send out a written notice 10 days prior to shutoff date. The very minimum is they could make a call or have an automated call with a warning, but they did nothing but shut off our water and it took all day to turn it back on. Dig a well, get rain barrels, whatever it takes, just don't let this company place a meter at your business or residence. I was about to go outside and disconnect it myself, but we were already paid up for 4 months at this point because my wife called and paid for 2 extra months. Of course they won't refund any of the extra paid.
