My wife, son and I love this church. They welcome all people regardless of pretty much anything. They are super supportive of kids and families. They do amazing work with the community and Pastor Meredith and Pastor Heidi are down to earth, honest, and understand what we struggle with and what we need in their sermons and work. Hope to see you there!

On Saturday February 11 at the 6pm service I visited this church for the first time. I have wanted to visit for quite some time and praise the Lord I finally had the chance. I came into contact with Pastor Meredith at my job at Shoppers when I was assisting her at the self check out. I recognized her right away and said I visited the church website and was interested in visiting. They made me feel so welcome and the music was beautiful and Pastor Meredith delivered a great sermon. She is the best. Will be visiting again and again.

One Tuesday evening, just over a year ago, I walked into the Abiding Presence building for the first time to attend a yoga class. On entering, I was immediately struck by the boxes full of food and clothes donations - physical evidence of the many ways this gorgeous church commits itself to active, ongoing service to the local community. 'Wow they really walk the walk here', I remember thinking. Also that night, during yoga class, I kept getting distracted by the dulcet tones of the choir rehearsing next door and hence decided to ask if I could join...if they would have me? I attended my first service that Sunday and was warmly welcomed onboard by Pastor Meredith and Music Director, Dave Chavez. What a treat! The high quality musicianship in this church is a privilege to be around, and a powerful part of worship. The sermons are always beautifully written, polished and insightful, catering to kids and adults. Through bible teachings they focus on our daily human challenges and reinforce the core values and acts of what it means simply and authentically to be Christian: Love, Kindness, Inclusivity and Service. As a foreigner who travels a lot and at times can feel a bit put off by the institutional, Abiding Presence at Burke is the first church that I have regularly attended long-term, simply because I love it. This is a lovely church with wonderful leadership and a caring supportive community. I cannot recommend It highly enough, so come see for yourself!

We have been members for almost 30 years. This is a great place and now it is better than ever, especially if you have little ones and are looking for a very cool church community. We have a little of something for everyone with a praise band service early, a more traditional service later and even a Saturday evening service. Come by and check this place out!
