If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I am disabled, I have issues with my legs. I was DENIED food because I could not get out of the vehicle and walk up to the door. This is the second time in 2 weeks. We are homeless living out of my van. The first time the lady actually screamed at me because I walked 5 feet on a flat surface to hug someone I had not seen in years, and still had trouble then.

I was turned away by the staff when I really needed a place to stay. It will be freezing tonight and I have to sleep outside. I am an Alamance County native and should have been allowed to stay no matter what. It is my belief that they turn people away because they dont want alot of people there creating more work for themselves. I bet if I had been African American this wouldn't have happened.

I stayed here with my family during a terrible time in my life 1997. My brother was murdered and we were kicked out of our apartment in NYC. We moved to North Carolina and after a month my grandma put us out. ACAC was walking distance away, we had no car or money, just a few suitcases. I just want you to know that because of you I made it. I was 22 at the time, I went to college, got a great job and brought a brand new house. I went from homeless to home owner in less than 24 months. All my sisters finished college and brought new homes too. I myself became a real estate investor and now own 5 rental properties. Thank you Salihah Brown, Catherine Brown Makeema Lee and Tina Remy.

Our group went for a tour and we were so impressed at the heart everyone had for the people they serve. True servants hearts. And I was amazed at how inclusive those services are.
