This place never answers the phone. Staff is very rude.

Unfriendly staff and the prices are inconsistent. I’ve brought the same trailer full and had different prices each time. It’s supposedly based on yards but the guy just looks at the trailer and makes up a price. Same with pickup bed loads. It is however the only option so I’ll be back. Update: as of January 2018 this transfer station is under new ownership. Same unfriendly staff but they now accept credit cards and no longer charges tax. Hopefully they have standardized their prices somehow.

Never been here before. Tried calling ahead 3 times to get information because we live on the outskirts of Marble Falls on the South side. No one ever answered. Left voicemails. Made the 1 hour round trip to Burnet. We got there and they told us they wouldn’t accept our two truck loads because they didn’t have tarps on them. I asked them why they didn’t except them without a tarp. The guy said that a while back, Burnet County was having a lot of trash and debris on the roadside from people who weren’t properly securing their trash they were bringing to the dump. Because of this, the transfer station gets fined if they except loads that do not have a tarp covering them. I asked him if he would make an exception since we didn’t know. He said that they are under video surveillance and because they saw us come in without tarps, they would be fined. So we left with two trucks full of trash. Burnet is the only major dump station unless you go to the Williamson County dump in Hutto. Takeaways: 1) IF YOU BRING A TRUCK OR TRAILER WITHOUT A TARP COVERING IT, THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT IT. 2) It costs about 37 per cubic yard. Not sure how they accurately measure this since we never got to that part. Very disappointed. Hopefully this helps others have a better experience.
