I had a housing discrimination situation that I reached out to Montana Fair Housing for help. Montana Fair Housing assisted me with the process filing a formal complaint with HUD and was quite frankly a bull dog advocate for me through the next 5 years. MFH stood by my side no matter what for all those terrible years of legal proceedings. I am so grateful for their assistance. If you are in need of assistance regarding Fair Housing and have a documented and evidence based legal issue regarding fair housing law, MFH will be fierce advocates for your civil rights under fair housing law. Remember, not everything that feels unfair is illegal under the Fair Housing Act. MFH are highly experienced professionals who are experts in fair housing law. You can 100% trust their judgment and if they believe your issue is not something their organization can help with, they will be upfront and real about it. Their assistance is based on how the law works, it is not because they don’t want to help or are being insensitive. MFH is incredibly resourced and provided exemplary support and assistance for me. They focused on learning about me, they took the time to understand what kind of communication, etc. worked for me based on my disabilities and stood by my side through thick and thin. If you are upset with their services, take a step back and listen to what they are saying. Understand that fair housing law works differently than other civil rights laws, and that they are honest and straight forward about what they can and can’t do for you, they have a certain framework to work through based on how fair housing works.

I called in and spoke to Pam about several questions I had related to disability and housing. She was extremely helpful and patiently provided the information I was looking for.
