Great staff ,Went into Dalton's the other night and had some great service, this lady named Vicki she was in training and anytime she needed help one of the other staff always seemed to help with a smile .I love how they treated each other like family, and they treat you like family. I was having a bad day (was little suicidal) and by the time I left Vicki had me smiling she treated me like I mattered and she told me she's here if I ever need her so thank you Vicki. Now on to that AMAZING food. Its always fresh and taste amazing. Comes to you quick. I highly recommend slaters smart shop to everyone and anyone. 5 starts

I recently bought a weekend home in Palenville, a Hamlet of Catskill, NY. Even though I was hardly there this past year, I had to keep my electric baseboard heat on 24/7 to avoid freezing pipes. My electric bills were through the roof. I decided to buy a wood pellet stove to help offset these utility bills now that I expect to be there more often. After doing my research, I realized that whatever pellet stove I bought, in order to have it work efficiently and increase it's overall useful lifespan with the least amount of breakdowns, it is critical to burn a high quality pellet. What is a high quality pellet? Generally, a brand that produces minimal ash, has a low moisture content, produces the maximum amount of BTUs per pound, and is free of plastics, glues, and other non-wood substances. I also needed a reliable source that can also deliver my order when needed in a timely fashion. On the internet, everyone seems to have their favorite brand/type of pellet. Hardwoods, sotwoods, mixed, yada yada yada. I was confused. Then, Slater's Smart Shop and Wood Pellet Store was recommended to me by a local businessman and resident of the Catskills. Boy was that man right. I went over to Cairo and met the owner, Justin, and had a great experience. Justin and his Dad are the nicest people and super knowledgeable about wood pellets. They carry an EXTENSIVE choice of wood pellet types and brands. Justin, with great patience, took the time to answer all my questions and made some great recommendations and I ended up purchasing what is generally considered the BEST wood pellets on the market. The internet reviews substantiate that. I walked away with a great wood pellets purchase and the confidence that I was getting exactly what I wanted/needed for my new pellet stove to function at it's maximum efficiency. Need wood pellets? Don't purchase them from anywhere else except Justin at Slater's Smart Shop and Wood Pellet Store. If I could, I would give them 6 stars.

I ordered a couple things and it took the lady like 5-10 minutes to figure it out and than I ordered a drink and they tried telling me they didnt have it and someone else went back there and they had it. This happens everytime I go there. I only recommend this place for gas and if you like waiting forever for people to put your order in. This place seems like it's going downhill and it's a shame

Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. My friend got a raspberry iced tea, I had some, this tea tasted like somebody vomited in the cup multiple times and left it there for days to then pass it off as iced tea. This is not my first problem I’ve had here. I once had a smoothie and it gave me food poisoning because it was expired. I’ve seen pictures of the insides of their machines and this is not the place to go unless you’re interested in getting some type of illness. The staff here is treated very poorly. Subway in here always has expired meats, cheeses, etc. The owner Justin does not care for his customers health seeing as he will tell his employees to put the expired and moldy food back into service. When they clean their machines, there is always some type of disgusting bacteria in it and Justin has the nerve to say it’s still good to eat. Enough of me ranting, I strongly do NOT advise any living being to come here and eat any of their food.
