Good for kids
Nice and quiet. Still some wet spots. Had a real nice walk with the dogs.

Great hike but they need better trail markings
Nice lot, far walk to the lake
Think this is more of a biking trial & I went intending to hike. I may not have gone far enough, but from the length I walked I did not see any trails off the main part that would lead into the trees.
Biking or walking. Longer than expected when i walked it.
First: DNR should rotate the sign for the park 90 degrees. The sign is parallel to Indian Bridge Road. It's easy to miss. The parking area isn't far from the turn from Rt. 4 to Indian Bridge Road. DNR should install insect repellent dip troughs in the parking area. Second: It's a quiet place to hike and it looks like it will be fine for some biking. Nothing technical which is fine by me. Should you be hiking or biking between late spring and late fall, use insect repellent. There are vernal pools and stagnant water and a plethora of biting insects. It's been a wet couple of weeks, but some of the water looks like it's more than occasional. You'll hike or bike through long grass in places. The trails hadn't been mowed this growing season (2018) and by August, ticks abound. Skip the repellent and some deer hunter will find your exsanguinated corpse or you'll be a vector for Lyme's disease. After an hour hiking, the greenheads stole my DEET and snorted it. Third: wear sturdy shoes. DNR placed builder's fill on the roads providing access to the trails. The rubble is too large for foot paths and pretty rough stuff. Not too unpleasant, but I should have worn above-the-ankle boots for the support. I was just scouting the trails for a place to bike. Bring a flame thrower for when the insect repellent fails. Fourth: It really looks like a great place to set up a photographer's blind to catch some good shots of turkeys, birds, deer, and foxes. There are some long, straight stretches of edge habitat and dusk or dawn should be plenty rewarding. Spray the blind with insect repellent, or the flies will steal it.
