Clearly a very old motel but with a major renovation makes it very clean and modern on inside. Pool area is too small and feels crowded. The inside courtyard and pool area need more plants. It could feel amazing but currently is boring and full of concrete and rock. Potted plants or any plants would totally change it and be amazing. Also for about the same price the best western across the street includes breakfast and this did not. Also no microwave in room compared to best western.

Great place. As advertised there is a place where you can bathe in a mineral hot springs. Once you get past the color of the water it is amazing. I felt completely relaxed after bathing there. The water in the pool is heated and feels similar to a very low power jacuzzi. The only turn Off of this hotel would be the lack of breakfast but that mite just be the Hilton fan boy in me.
Just spent a fabulous long weekend at UpValley! Perfect location, super clean rooms, attentive staff, and nice amenities. We particularly enjoyed their mineral pool and hot tub, as well as the comfortable robes they provide! The hotel’s open-air courtyard has lounge chairs and tables beneath market lights and afforded us the perfect spot to enjoy Calistoga’s ample take-out options. We stayed in a very specious room with a fireplace and wine fridge, which came in handy! The decor is updated and classy yet understated. Highly recommend!
Clean room and very nice staff. I enjoyed the hot spring pool. Loved it! I'll definitely stay here again. It's also quiet and I had a good night sleep.
The front desk staff was extremely helpful, the location is perfect for a short walk into town or a winery, and the rooms were super clean! The pool area could use some updating but the geothermal temperatures were lovely after a day of biking around the Napa area. Only downside was that the room faced Lincoln Ave (the main road through town) and it is very noisy and loud.
Best place to stay in town for the price, but doesn't have as many amenities as some of the other places. If bringing your family, you may want to check out some of the other nearby options like Golden Haven that have more outdoor amenities like bocce ball, pool tables and bikes just to name a few! Oh, if you expect to come back to the room at the temp that you set your thermostat, it's not going to happen because there is a sensor on the door that sets it to economy mode when you walk out!
What a great little place. Our room was very nice and well kept. Bed was comfy and your within about a 10 min walk or a 4 min car ride from down town.
Loved the mineral spring pool and mineral spring hot tub. 30 minute max per family with pandemic. Clean rooms, rain shower head, friendly check in. No on site dining yet.
