We host educational and cultural preservation initiatives that sustain and enliven Jonang Buddhism in Tibet. Working with the living Jonangpa, we advance research and scholarship to promote understanding of the intellectual, creative, and spiritual heritage of this distinct tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Projects include supporting schools and traditional systems of learning in Tibet, conserving Tibetan art and literature, documenting and mapping the presence of the living Jonang tradition across the plateau, and compiling a biographical encyclopedia of Jonang masters and an online museum of Jonang artifacts and material culture. We run a biannual pilgrimage to the power places of Tibet as a fundraiser for our projects.
