Superpedestrian Reviews | Rating 4 out of 5 stars (4 reviews)

Superpedestrian is located in Cambridge, United States on 84 Hamilton St. Superpedestrian is rated 4 out of 5 in the category manufacturer in United States. Superpedestrian is a transportation robotics company located in Cambridge, MA. Founded out of MIT in 2013, Superpedestrian develops technologies for micro-electric vehicles that optimize safety, reliability, and performance. Superpedestrian spent over 4 years developing its proprietary Vehicle Intelligence system, which was first introduced in the company’s consumer product, the Copenhagen Wheel. Since 2018, Superpedestrian has focused its efforts on engineering and validating its new electric scooter for shared fleets. Featuring the mature Vehicle Intelligence platform, Superpedestrian’s fleet scooter can detect and protect against more than 100 common malfunctions. This platform of embedded computers and cloud software enables Superpedestrian’s scooters to autonomously protect from damage during and between rides. Within nanoseconds, the scooters can detect potential problems such as battery fires, short circuits, or failed brakes, and take corrective action to avert damage. Vehicle Intelligence prevents over 50% of issues that would cause other scooters to fail, and streamlines operations if issues arise. If the scooter can’t protect itself, it automatically becomes unavailable for rental and generates a detailed service ticket for repair. The result is a substantial improvement in vehicle safety for scooter riders and major cost savings for fleet operators. Superpedestrian is re-engineering micromobility, one vehicle at a time.

Hi. I’ve had my wheel for 3 weeks and I am over 120 miles. It’s been great to get back on my bike. I’ve been an avid bike commuter for over 15 years and had an accident (not biking) over 2years ago which caused me to lose my biking mojo. I was reduced to short rides and not able to ride all over the city like I used to. Then came this wheel and I have been using it regularly and have started to ride all over again. The best way to describe it and with many things in life, working from a strength (wheels assist) instead of a weakness (lost muscle strength) has brought me back to my joy and will again provide me my mode of exercise that has brought me back to healthy status. I’m also writing this now because I’m hoping to get some help, I am locked out of my wheel. Here’s what happened. I can’t unlock my wheel. After leaving my bike locked up, when I came back to it, it looked like someone had tried to steal it. When I opened my app, it asked me to log into it. I choose my google email address dwhitepro. A message came up ‘waiting to approve guest access’. I have not received an email or any text. It’s just stuck and can’t do anything Please help, the Copenhagen wheel is fantastic. I love being able to ride again. I would hate to lose the stats of my over45 trips and 120 miles to get access back. I look forward to hearing back ASAP.

(08/20/2017) I have had the wheel about three weeks and have put 74 miles on it. This is the best, most sophisticated integration of an electric motor with a bicycle that I have seen. The assist is subtle and variable, increasing with your effort. The harder you pedal, the more it helps. Pedal backwards, and it regenerates. My last two rides were both 18 miles in Eco mode, and I had about 40% of the battery left after each ride. I think the battery would have gone 30 miles with this type of riding, maybe more. My phone is a Samsung 6 (Android). When it is working properly, the display is very slick. It shows effort levels, speed, distance traveled, etc., and the trip is recorded on a map so you can see where you went. The cell phone app can be a little unreliable. Occasionally it starts a new trip when I am simply resuming a trip after a short pause. It would be nice to be able to tell the app to resume instead of starting new. Overall, I'm delighted with the wheel, and if we can figure out the referral process, my wife will buy one for her bicycle this week.

When the wheel works, it is phenomenal.....a LOT of fun to ride and you can go quite fast quite easily. The problem with the wheel is the BIG \when\, because the wheel seldom works. When you buy a wheel, you have to name it. Mine is named: It ONLY runs when it wants to, which isn't often. Currently, it has been inactive for more than 6 weeks. I have dumped the app repeatedly and still, zero connectivity. I have called the company repeatedly without much change in the situation. I received this wheel as a gift, so I suppose I can't complain too much. But if I had paid 1500 BUCKS for this \garage decoration\, I would be PISSED.

I've got the wheel, 8 months after ordered. Nice design and concept. My original message \u003cOct. 2017. Not trustfully at all !!! I've ordered the wheel more than 3 months ago, paid it and after several reminder still not delivered.
