We absolutely LOVE Camp Tomahawk!! Just found em this year and I grew up camping in the Ozarks....all over but mostly in the Branson, MO area. The camp ground is GORGEOUS, very well maintained by staff. Trash cans all over and emptied frequently. Porta potties all over camp ground as well, but they do have a great shower house and separtate bathroom building. Both are kept very clean and nice. I won't use a porta potty lol so the toilet/shower house is a HUGE plus in my book!!! It is all primitive camping so no electric or water hook ups. Lots of grassy areas though to pick from....labd ovet 2 miles long to explore and camp where ever! The owner Lester, his wife, and daughters as well as their staff are judt AMAZING people and there isnt enough to say about them!! We instantly felt like family to them and it was just very nice and relaxing to be out in the woods with the blessings God has given us!! We wont go anywhere else! This has been our spot all summer and we plan on spending many more summers here at csmap Tomahawk! Plus maybe a few fall/winter nights

Had an amazing 4th of July with my Family there. It was packed with kids and we felt safe with our family. Plus you can float all day for an amazing price!!!
Great easy trip from Springfield. Less than an hour away. The float is roughly 3 hours, costs 10-15 depending on when you go, and everything is included (the ride to the put in point, tubes, and even a tube for your cooler for free). Camp sites are nice (no electricity) and the bathrooms/showers were clean and accessible. Would definitely go again for a nice relaxing day float.
While the staff were friendly, and the camp sites were sizable and clean, I wish there was a section specifically for RV hook-ups, so generators weren't so prevalent. Either that, or established quiet hours, not allowing them to run all night. There were 2 generators that ran all night, both nights we were there. One towards the front, and one in the middle, so you heard at least one of them from anywhere we tried to camp. I would strongly consider this place again, if I knew generators were not allowed or at least had to be turned off for overnight hours. I wanted to escape and hear nature, not generators.
One of the best little float trips in SWMO! Super friendly staff, very reasonable prices. Se you again soon.
