We recently booked a cabin at this resort. I was blown away that linens, comforters and towels were not provided! We had to bring our own! You could RENT linens and towels, if you needed to. You might as well bring your own pots and pans too, because they were pretty useless. The pool was closed. Signs posted everywhere threatening extra fees were also very welcoming. (Ex: if you didn’t sweep the cabin before you left you’d be charged or if you were caught on the property after your check-out you’d be charged 300). If you are RVing or camping, I would recommend this spot. To pay 220/night and have to bring my own sheets is ridiculous.

I'm very picky when it comes to where we stay. We've checked into places and immediately left after going to our room. My husband booked this little getaway and told me "we are roughing, but we're not". I really didn't know what to think of that statement and I was kind of nervous, but I was pleasantly surprised by the cabins. I didn't feel like we were roughing it at all. We were there to be in nature and enjoy the river and it's absolutely picture perfect for that. We stayed in 2 cabins, because we extended our stay for an extra night and they were both very cozy. I loved it there. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I didn't deal with the front office personally, but my husband did and based on his interactions with them, they seemed so nice. We were trying to go to the river one day and didn't realize that our golf cart was included in the "no parking" by the fence, and the man who came over to tell us we couldn't park there was so so kind about it. The reviews mentioning rude team members couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to our experience (and we aren't friends with the owners. Lol). We had a wonderful time, and so did our dogs. We left early this morning, and I can't wait to go back.

CONS: 1. River access is long dry walk on rocky ground. 2. Swimming pool was not open. We were told it would re-open until Sunday (day we were checking ). We asked to remain on property to use pool, since that was one of the reasons for choosing this property. Said we would have to pay a late check out fee. As a courtesy, I'd say, good customer service would have been to waive this fee, but guess that isn't important. 3. The website should provide better details as to the amenities and hours each is available. 4. Customer service at the office was so-so, but the guy picking up trash on the gulf cart is rude. PROS: 1. Restrooms and showers were clean. Just wish there were more than 2 since they must be shared by tent campers and shelters. 2. Only 4 minute drive to Camp Wood, if looking for eat in restaurants or a Family Dollar Store. 3. Shelters are comfortable and provide the right amount of space, privacy, and comfort. Overall, there is room for improvement but not a terrible choice. As of February 2020, the property has new owners so maybe, improvements will be on their way. Better customer service and actually having available amenities open to paying customers would be a big plus.

I had a great time at this place with my family. We got a little rain but still had a great time. Men’s bathrooms and showers are a little small and wish they were like the women’s bathrooms which look to be recently upgraded. Staff was nice, facilities and grounds were clean.

Needs a little work to update, but the place was clean and kept up. Unfortunately the pool was not clear , due to a yellow Alage, and the splash pad didn't work. The river is a long walk on a dry riverbed, so lots of rocks. But a nice stream once you reach the water.

Whole family had a great time. Bathrooms and showers clean and campgrounds are fun and family friendly. Camp Wood is not far away in case you forget anything (charcoal snacks beer)

Great place, water access is too far for our age.
