We drove over an hour to visit Green River Cabins. We were met in the office by Eden, who was not friendly in the least and borderline just plain rude. We were not made to feel welcome in any way. She snapped at another gentleman (for no reason at all) who was walking in the office after we did as well. We were told there was only one cabin we could view (the office), and told the first available build date was almost a year out. I commented that the delayed build dates should be posted on the website, as currently it looks as thought you can get a cabin within 4-6 weeks of ordering. No understanding, apologies, nothing - basically no customer service at all. We were also told they do not work with any financing companies and we were on our own for that. She seemed even annoyed that we thought they should have some they work with (all RV dealers I know do). We did walk around a bit to look at the outside of the cabins on the lot, and honestly were not impressed with the stain or edge work on the cabins. We can't really comment ion the inside since they had no models we could actually view. Overall, we were so disappointed, as the pictures of the cabins were beautiful, but I would never work with a company where the customer service was this bad before even buying anything.

We purchased a Green River cabin in the spring of this year and placed it beside a creek on mountain property in Banner Elk, NC. We now have enjoyed it for three seasons. The cabin is beautifully crafted, comfortable, and efficient in the use of space. We love the wood, the beauty, and the attention to detail. Our cabin is a lovely home away from home. Thanks to the folks at Green River for the good work on the cabin itself and for their assistance in getting the cabin installed. We look forward to many more happy times there! The customer service here is terrible. The lady was short with me on the phone and even after we arrived were treated as though we were a nuisance. We were told they do not have any models available to view except the office. The lady basically said to go outside and look at the cabins. They were all locked and her response was oh well, I guess they are not available to be seen as they are customer purchases and must be clean already. We were hoping to purchase up to 3 units depending on options, but the customer service was so horrible it made looking past the obvious issues with craftmanship impossible. We will look elsewhere.

It hurts me to write a bad review of this place, because I love their cabins. I was heartbroken when I heard they were no longer doing modular cabins. I get that putting out a lot of the same campground cabins might be where the money's at, but what about helping people build their dream home? Isn't there something special about that that's worth continuing? I was willing to wait over a year to get the cabin I had planned in great detail, and I feel so disappointed now. I feel for the people who put money down, only to be told it won't be happening! I hope that you all please, please offer the modular cabins again. Help dreams come true.
