This is a small museum, but has quality exhibits. The current exhibition includes artists one wouldn't usually expect to see in a city of this size. I mean, Canton isn't New York. The curating is top notch, and the presentations communicate clearly, are organized, and are relevant. It is easily accessed with free parking. Their website was easy to navigate and very intuitive. I feel like this museum is like a friend, with a friendly website.

Visiting the Canton Museum of Art is a pleasant experience. It's clean, uncrowded, and features friendly and helpful staff. It's a good value especially when it's free on Thursdays ... there's always free parking. Your enjoyment may depend somewhat on the current traveling exhibits. Right now, the exhibits on American Impressionists and American Whiskey Painters are outstanding.

Their website specifically listed art by prominent artists, but they are apparently only on display periodically, and due to COVID they can't/won't let you see them. Best piece of art on display was the amazing joinery on this bench

There's a spectacular photography exhibit at Canton Museum of Art, running a few more weeks, called From Darkness To Light. It puts you in the shoes of escaping slaves moving North, through Ohio, on the Underground Railroad.
