They offer group and private lessons for all levels of Latin and Ballroom dance. They also host and offer social dance events at their fantastic venue in downtown Plymouth. If you like moving to music and are looking for active fun, you owe it to yourself to check them out!
Clive and Suzanne Phillips are very experienced ballroom/latin studio owners, operating successfully for many years in New York City where many known dancers developed their craft in their renown studio. They are my current professional coaches now for four years and their new studio in Plymouth is the best in Michigan and probably the Midwest! Whether you are a new dancer or experienced competitive student, there are multiple options to have fun and meet new people, no matter what your age or level and no partner is needed! They teach it all simply, with humor and great teaching skill.
Dance New York is a wonderful place to learn whether you're a beginner or if you have danced before and want to refresh your memory. The classes are well paced and the fun atmosphere makes it a real pleasure each week. I highly recommend the socials as a chance to practice what you've learned and to experience dancing out of the classroom setting. I'm so glad I've found my way back to the ballroom.
