Simple process to book online a few days in advance. We got a double kayak and snorkel gear. Coming early (7:30am)worked out well before all the boats and other kayaks were out snorkeling too. Efficient to check in and launch. Beautiful kayaking along the coast and great snorkeling. We saw a white tip reef shark and many different fish along the coral.

What a gem of a place and the staff are amazing. My Husband and I aren’t the most comfortable kayaking in the ocean and wanted a lot of info before starting off the adventure to captain cooks monument. The Older gentleman talked us through and said it was going to be okay. There s life jackets and good weather. Go see dolphins he said. And dolphins we saw 15 mins into Kayaking. Jamal helped us get our dry bag, life jackets and sent us off with instructions on the basics of what to do. It was one of the best experiences of our lives.
Reserved kayaks the night before and had a great morning snorkeling Kealakekua Bay. Saw dolphins in the distance, but of course didn’t bother them, as advised by this business (and every other responsible human). Very friendly, helpful folks with good equipment, free dry bag provided. We brought our own snorkeling gear. Towing the 2 kayaks was not a big deal while snorkeling. One of our trip highlights!

We used Bayside in July 2019. Everything was seamless for us.Maybe not a slick city kind of company, but they were friendly and helpful. We arranged for a 7am pickup to get out on the water before the tourist boats showed up. We saw a big pod of dolphins traveling around the bay, leaping and jumping out of the water. I got in the water at one point and watched the dolphins play catch with some leaves. Best part of our trip. Always be respectful of the dolphins, your just a visitor in their domain.
We had the best time kayaking here. The guys are so nice. You can rent snorkel gear as well as kayaks. They give you dry backs for your stuff and make it super easy to navigate on your own. You can also take as long as you want, just need to be back by sunset. The snorkeling is the best I’ve found in the state by far. I will definitely do this again using Bay Side Adventures.
These guys are phenomenal! They've been super flexible in reservation and accommodated our last minute changes. Rocky and everyone else that I interacted were super nice. They have also given us regular updates on the weather (wave) conditions. I'd strongly recommend them.
Best experience I've had on the Big Island! Kayaked with a huge pod of dolphins and saw so many fish and coral snorkeling. Rocky was super helpful with the kayaks and guided us through the waves coming back. I would definitely recommended Bay Side Adventures to anyone who wants to kayak/snorkel in Kealakekua Bay!
