I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a wedding at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation over the summer. It was breathtakingly beautiful! The details were so intricate and wonderfully designed! I highly recommend visiting!

I would recommend attending Mass here, as well as, considering having your wedding and wedding reception here! :-) I was invited as a wedding guest and as part of the wedding music group at my friend's wedding on Saturday, September 5, 2020, and I was immediately impressed by not only the interior of this beautifully historic Basilica, but also from a musician's perspective (I was the fourth violinist amongst three other violinists, an organist, pianist, four singers, a flute player, and a trumpeter) the best view of the Basilica was in the choir loft because you have an amazing view of the artistic ceiling and the main floor below, as well as having the opportunity to have your instrument's sound go through the Basilica with its amazing acoustics! I was sad to leave such a beautiful Basilica because of the wonderful experience that I had there, but I know that I will definitely return to visit it in the future! :-)

The feel of being in front of over 100 first class Saint Relics in the lower Bascilica is unreal! Definitely worth the walk downstairs to look at them, I am sure you can find at least 1 you know!

The Basilica was built between 1898 and 1920. The attention to detail in this Catholic place of worship is stunning, from the exquisite stained glass to the marble work to the dome murals. This is a great place to visit for people of all Christian faiths. It is wheelchair accessible.

Love this shrine. Went frequently as a child, and feel fortunate that I live close so I can continue to visit often. I can feel the Holy Spirit, and its wonderful to be able to share my faith with so many people.
