As soon as I could see that we had to pivot to virtual for all of our programs, I turned to Mike Buffo and House of 8 Media Productions for guidance and support. He was an amazing partner. I was able to share my goals and what I needed overall and he was able to help me refine the project design, develop the components and put together three very different programs that each had great participation and rave reviews.

I was looking for a company to help me film and edit a client testimonial for my online fitness coaching program. I'm based in Boise and my client lives close to Monterey. I'm very hands on with what I do, so I was naturally apprehensive during my search for a production company since I wouldn't be able to meet in person. I've worked in the film industry and my experiences have always been in-person from the early stages all the way to sitting in the editing room until the final cut was completed. I was also a bit nervous because I wanted to get through this process without it become terribly annoying for my client! I found samples of Michael's work during my search that I loved! I contacted him right away. Michael's professionalism and crystal clear understanding of my needs instantly put me to ease! He's extremely knowledgable and also fun to speak with. I feel as though I've completed a mini film course or a how-to-nail your online coaching course after we speak. Having worked in front of the camera, I know how intimidating that experience can be. Michael gets it! He is prepared to make the experience a comfortable one. He's friendly and easy to be around, and I think anyone who is going to be in front of the camera, will feel more comfortable with Michael around. I didn't have a chance to speak with his editor yet, Jules Hart, but let me just say that I haven't witnessed such a quick turn around with an edit. The only issue I had with this process was that everything was so good!! which makes it REALLY hard to pick what to leave out for certain versions that have to be shorter in length. It's not easy to find this combination of creativity, professionalism, and sophistication with a team. I'm looking forward to working with them again, soon!!
Mike Buffo was a videographer for my fitness testimonial end of 2020, in Monterey, CA. I felt very comfortable following the few directions Mike led me through to begin. I felt relaxed & confident in front of the screen. What made it so much easier, even though I memorized the script, was having the teleprompter right there within the face of the camera (IPad) so all I had to do was read the script & it looked as if I was looking directly into the camera. Mike operated the camera & interviewed me at the same time, which went smoothly in one take, but we did 2 just as backup. We shot at the golden hour, around 3pm, which made the video/ photos turn out stunning! He also took shots of me posing in workout stances to assist the verbal testimonial. I love the results of both the video & photographs! Overall, I had a great experience with Mike Buffo, who was personable & professional & would definitely recommend him as your next videographer! Mike from House of 8 Media was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Mike received hundreds of different elements, put together 21 videos, scored music, mixed audio, added graphics & animations, and delivered a 1hr film on a tight turnaround. I was incredibly impressed with his support, professionalism and efficiency.
I have known Mike and House of 8 Media for over 10 years. Him and his team have been my videographers for my RockStar Dance Studio️ showcases for 9 seasons. I can always count on Mike for anything I need for marketing, publicity, filming for, commercials, anything. Due to COVID, this year Mike worked with us to create a virtual theater experience which was a total success for everyone. His work is impeccable and I am forever grateful.
