Hoppin' on the Zane train. Dude was legit! Super nice, kind, and addressed the adults (my wife and me) and two kids with equal attention and kindness. We were all novices, and his aim was to make sure we (a) learned something; and (b) had fun. And we did! From start to finish, it felt more like a hang out session with tips, rather than "you must do ___; you shouldn't do ___." If we ever surf in Cali again, it's with Zane.

My kids really enjoyed surfing with Zane. My two are intermediate surfers and he was able to provide good advice and really made it a fun time! I would highly recommend a lesson with this group no matter what your experience level. Have fun!

The only Grad Gift my Grand Daughter "Stormy" wanted was "Surfing Lessons"! Her name is "Stormy" and took Surfing by "Storm"! She loved it and instructor "Ryan" made the experience of first time up on the board a memorable & awesome experience! Ryan is an excellent instructor even for 1st timers! He was patient, knowledgeable and encouraging beyond words! Safety First was taught as well! The Office itself is pleasant and kept in constant communication before lesson time since the Surf is totally unpredictable! Stormy looks forward to more lessons because we can't say enough about "Monterey Bay Surf Lessons"!

Small groups of 4 are much safer than the large groups with multiple instructors that the other surf schools offer. Lots of attention given to each student. No collisions. I was very relaxed watching the kids knowing that they were safe. Choosing a time that was convenient for the family allowed us to plan a full day doing multiple activities.

Such an awesome experience! I'm from Dallas, Texas, so I haven't seen a whole lot of beaches or surfing. It was really a blast getting to go out with Nick and learn the basics of surfing. He's a good teacher, knew what he was talking about, and helped me quickly get on the board and get out on the water, even on a rough day with 5-6 foot swells. Even got to hang five on my board! If I'm ever back in the Monterey area, I'll definitely be calling these guys. Thanks again!
