Be prepared! If you have never worked on aircraft or have very limited experience, this is not the place for you. This course did exactly what I needed it to do. Made me focus on studying and taught us the concepts that we may have not had to deal with in our aviation careers. I've worked heavy aircraft my entire life and I am also a private pilot so I had a good base going in. John's process works to find what you know and what you don't. Then he gets you to focus on what you don't know or understand and he explains the concepts well. Carolina Aeronautical came highly recommended by people I served with as well as people I currently work with. Well done John and thank you for helping me realize a life long dream!

This course will prepare you to take the exams needed to obtain your A&P license. It is not an educational course, those are 2 year courses provide at a technical college. If you have the required experience and training, but need a refresher on the primary topics and would like to be familiar with the testing procedures then this is a great course.

This program works! If you follow the instruction, and guidance of John you will obtain your license. I took the 3 week course, and passed. That didn't come without challenges, plan to study every night for a minimum of 4-6 hours. I can promise if you put in the time, effort and believe in the instruction you will obtain your license.

If you expect someone to hand you your a&p and don't want to work for it, this is not for you. If however you understand what work ethic is, have a desire to learn and can get by today's something for nothing mind set, John will help you reach your goals. In my opinion, money well spent.

I went to Carolina Aeronautical to study for my Inspector Authorization license. The owner (who also teaches the classes) put me in the same room as people trying to get there A&P. I understand that some things on the IA test are also on the A&P, but the material is different. People trying to get there IA do not need to take the same class as people (fresh out of the military) trying to pass there general, power plant, and airframe. We spent a day and a half going over weight and balance. Another day going over basics like calculating piston displacement and fundamentals of electricity. I ask the owner when are we going to start going over the material I need to know, and his reply was \all of this is going to be on the IA test\. The owner is a fast talker that convinced me I needed the 6 day class over the phone. Luckily I didn't sign a contract. After 2 1/2 days I was fed up and did not return to the class. I was still charged 450 for the 2 1/2 days. I would recommend everyone to stay away form this place. It is a joke. Spend the extra money and go to reputable establishment.
