Musical Theatre West at the Carpenter Performing Centre Is a top-notch regional theater company producing excellent shows with a A-list performers. How fortunate for those of us in the Long Beach area to be able to experience these wonderful musical plays. We just saw Ragtime this past Sunday and the production values were spectacular from the music to the sets to the costumes to the scenic projections and more. All the actors are triple threat performers and we are lucky to have this high-quality Performing Arts Center to attract these amazing thespians.

Ragtime is fabulous, heart-wrenching, and beautifully sung and acted. Don't miss it! It may be set in the period right before WW1, but it is nonetheless timely. Imaginative, beautiful minimal set design keeps the focus on the characters. You will be glad you went.
