This museum is unique in that a lot of their displays and exhibits contain items donated from veterans who were stationed at Camp Gordon Johnson, or who are local to the area. The exhibits are especially informative and cover such a wide range of topics that you should give yourself at least 2 hours to look at everything. The museum is free, although donations are accepted. Masks are required at present ( 12/29/2020) due to COVID 19. The museum is closed on Mondays. This museum is a great place for history buffs and non-history lovers alike, as there are so many interesting exhibis. I highly recommend this museum! Do yourself a favor and stop by if you are in the area.

A wonderful museum that will touch your heart with the history of so many souls. The atmosphere was very welcoming and every turn shared a new story. A very important and educational part of Carrabelle.

Wonderful local history museum. Makes all the things you hear about the wars much more real. Very informative and very touching.

It doesn't have much curb appeal but it was an enjoyable and informative experience. In comparing notes we both realized we had missed things so we may even go back.

A beautiful and humbling experience. Superbly well done. Gorgeous displays and artifacts from WWII, two great videos depicting the camp and training undergone by soldiers to ready them for Europe invasions. Very well done and all free. Donation box at the door so please donate generously.
