Wonderful campground. The camp host Doug, was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Close to the water. Fishing was good as well. Facilities were clean. There was construction underway in another camp area near by which was a bit of a bummer. We where there during the week and had to deal with the trucks driving around kicking up dirt and the sounds of road work. Once it was the weekend, it was nice a quite though. We will be back!!

We came here to do some ice fishing but finding parking was hard with all the snow and getting on to the lake was a challenge. Disappointing that the fish weren't biting but the views were nice.
Stunning! Love the camp grounds. Lots of tall trees. Water is a little mucky but is a nice calming place to go and fish.
Horsethief is a really nice reservoir. It is well kept and the fishing is pretty good. I went there with my coworker to fish and we didn’t catch any fish though. But believe me there are fish there because everyone around seemed to be reeling them in. I think the people who caught the most just used worms. We used power bait and didn’t even get a nibble. So looks like the fish here prefer the real stuff.
What a wonderful Lake a short distance from Boise. It is a beautiful Lake where you can enjoy fishing, camping and the wonderful Outdoors of Idaho.
