After completing a 90 program at ABC Recovery Center I moved into their sober living. From there I found Cielo Spiritual Retreat. When selecting a sober living I was fortunate enough to have multiple perspectives on multiple places due to the large amount of friends I had made in the recovery community. I like Cielo because it feels more like home than an institution. It provides all the accountability I'm looking for with weekly testing, curfew and check ins, but enough flexibility I can still build my life back up. The staff facilitates a community feel. The other residents are respectful and I've come trust them and there's always an open ear. The staff also takes pride in the house which I greatly appreciate. Anything I've needed, be it a ride to a meeting, something added to the grocery list, etc. it has always been addressed quickly. What appealed to me most is is the groups they offer. There are CODA meetings here now, sound baths which are really cool and relaxing, meditations and lessons by people that are brought in special to teach us different approaches to recovery. As a gay male I feel really safe and accepted. Not to mention a jacuzzi! I've been here a month and will continue to stay as long as I'm welcome.

Beware of this house! The owner Michelle claims that food is included...the food is scarce and only adhears to her exotic tastes. She is extremely hostile and intimidating and seams to enjoy picking on her clients. The house is dirty and falling apart. She recently allowed one of her guests to “detox” with the use of marijuana...this guest’s family paid her and extra 200 undwr the table to allow this. If this isnt a flop house then i dont know what is...btw there is an older women living on the couch in the common area, lol. There is one positive I have to mention and thats the sound bowl healing...you will definitely require some healing if your living under micheles roof.
