This is the start of a great walk/run/bike trail. Look for the waterfall near the Y. Medium hills, variety in the terrain and a mix of shade and sun. Watch out for each other!

First movie in the park at the YMCA. It was a beautiful night to watch Chasing the Giants with my boys. It was a great Christian inspirational movie that I hope they will never forget. Thank you YMCA and those of you who have up your Saturday night for the community.

I've been going to Camp Twin Lakes for 8 years and working on the Summer Camp Staff for over 6 years. I have seen the Camp expand and only get better. There have been many improvements and more are in the planning stage for a few years down the road. I highly recommend the Park and the available activities. It is a huge advantage to the community to have Camp Twin Lakes so close.

As a parent sending your child to day camp here for the first time, you will naturally want a little more advance information about what the kids will be doing all day. While you may not get the itinerary you're seeking, you will be provided with clear direction for drop offs and pickups, and there will be plenty of friendly people to help guide you at those times. There is even a golf cart that picks up from the parking lot, in order to help get late arriving kids where they need to go. I was concerned at first about having my son out in the heat of summer all day, and about adding swim lessons to his camp day without the benefit of having him under my watchful eye. However, neither of these concerns were well-founded. He never came back sunburnt or said he was ever in danger of drowning. I know because he would definitely have told me if he had an anxiety-provoking experience. Kids are good at making you feel guilty when they want to stay home and play instead of going to camp, right? Perhaps the best review I can offer is the one heard directly from my son himself. After picking him up from another camp we tried, he said he really wished it were more like YMCA Camp Twin Lakes where they had more outdoor activities. He begged to go back this Summer! Clearly, he had a great time and misses friends he made there. That's endorsement enough for me.

From the parent orientation through the last day of camp, I felt in-the-know; my daughter was always excited about participating; and the staff was organized, helpful, and friendly. The campsite has an endless possibility of creative activities and reminds me of my days as a youth. I am definitely sending my daughter back next summer.
