I am REALLY unhappy with this ticket purchase experience online. I found the 2 perfect seats I wanted and clicked to purchase them. Centertix asked me to log in and I did using the correct password. But CT insisted it was the wrong password and I had to reset it. So I did. But when it directed me back to the site, my desired seats were now “in transition” and I couldn’t purchase them even though they were in transition for me! So I had to purchase less desirable seats because the concert is almost sold out and I don’t want to end up without any seats! Very annoying. And CT is closed so I can’t call to get it fixed. Sigh....

Selecting seats for shows at the Atwood in Anchorage is incredibly tedious. There's nothing "quick pick" about the process. Even if you select a particular show time it'll list all available seats without the map for cross reference, and instead of allowing you to just select the options you want, it makes you remove all the seats you don't want, across multiple days you never selected! It should not take over an hour to find 4 seats together. argh.
This is one of those services that is designed for the convenience of the vender not for the customer. Recommend that you find another form of entertainment unless you have the schedule and the extra time for an in person trip to the CenterTix office. This is not a user friendly service.
Ticket ordering very annoying. I wanted to use the standard mail to get tickets mailed to my house. For some reason, my address in "Anchorage, AK US" was interpreted as being an international address. I know lower 48 merchants think Alaska is international, but we should know better. I then could not remove the "US" from the country line and replace it with a blank. Very irritating and definitely a software glitch.
If I could buy elsewhere, I HIGHLY recommend it. I had to do the image verification 4 times to find out the first showing of a concert was nearly sold out, and I did the image verification 11 times (no, I'm not kidding or exaggerating) and by 8, I almost pulled the plug completely. CenterTix website verification algorythm is garbage, and they should feel bad, but, they got their money...
Awful experience . Purchased a ticket in Row G seat 107 for October 24th Show of The Little Mermaid back in July. Yesterday I was contacted by someone named John asking if I’d be willing to change seats ( the sold my seat twice). I replied and said that unfortunately I would like to keep my seat. John said I wasn’t able to (why ask if you know that your not allowing me to keep the purchased seat?) and could assign another seat. I called to talk to someone to better understand why this happened and if there was any other option. Mickie was trying to help me but she only offered me the same as John ( move out of center seat to end of row). I expressed I’m going to be “down grading” seats. Disappointed with how this situation was handled. I asked to speak to a higher up and was not able to.
Website is fairly easy to navigate, selecting seat was a bit confusing but I muddled through.
This is the ONLY official box office for tickets to anything in the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts as well as a few other local performance spaces. Staff is amazing and always ready to help!
