The best OB/GYN in NoVa! Going to the Dr, especially the OB/GYN is a huge source of anxiety for me and I've had some difficult moments in Dr Khan's office. She and Sarah, the Nurse Practitioner are both incredibly patient, even with me, and are kind and understanding. Their team also follows issues up closer than any other doctor I've had, which shows me that they truly care for their patients. They are very committed to making sure their patients are healthy, happy and empowered to make the right choices as far as their reproductive health conducive to each patient's lifestyle and choices.

Dr.Khan is the BEST - she is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Patient care is absolutely outstanding. Always a wonderful experience. I highly recommend her for all your OBGYN needs.

It's so hard to get in contact with this office because of their phone. Even during business hours their phone line will say they're closed and no way to leave a voice message. When I went to this clinic a year ago, the girl at the front desk would always put you on hold for a couple minutes and it would be a pain to set up an appointment. Maybe need a couple more people at the front desk? Anyway, Dr. Khan is quick and to the point, which can be good or bad. I went to a different OB/GYN initially and the doctor there was very compassionate and explained every step of the process and preparation of the operation, but Dr. Khan was extremely brief about it (the other doctor couldn't bill my insurance to get me coverage for an IUD, but Dr. Khan was able to b/c she has them stocked in the office). I took the other doctor's recommendation and had some painkillers beforehand, and that really helped. Yes, you've probably inserted an IUD a billion times, but for the patient it's their first, and that can bring anxiety - patients need emotional support, especially if you're an OB/GYN where people are getting medical support for pregnancy. A year after, I get a bill in the mail for 200 from that operation... from a YEAR ago. I called my health insurance and they said I don't owe anything, and they forwarded a breakdown of the costs to the office. However, I kept getting bills in my mail. Circling back to how it's impossible to get a hold of them, it took a long time before I could contact the office - I had to message them through myPrivia. They said I still owed them, but they would waive the fee. I'm very confused about how all of this happened.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE. I was referred to Dr. Khan by my normal doctor for a Mirena insertion. After consultation with Dr. Khan, she convinced me to try out Nexplanon instead. Here I am now looking to get my Nexplanon removed by my current doctor (I moved) only to find out that 1) the insertion area on the arm is super weird and 2) the insertion itself is so deep that I now have to see a surgeon. My current doctor kept commenting that Nexplanon should be right under the skin. This is the first time she has not been able to remove one herself and has to recommend a surgeon. Dr. Khan's insertion seems to have placed the Nexplanon right on top of my bicep muscle and a surgeon is required to make sure no damage occurs to the muscle.
